Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix is a minister who was ordained by Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a elementary school teacher at Balboa Magnet. Felix displayed a knack for sports early, and discovered her talent for sprinting while she was at the Los Angeles Baptist High School. She finished second in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships after only 10 weeks after the first time she tried out. Felix finished high school in 2003 and was signed by Adidas an agreement as an athlete in professional competition. In the following year, she attended University of Southern California studying elementary education. Her first Olympic medal came at the 2004 Summer Olympics, which took place in Athens Greece. Felix set a world junior record for sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 secs. She became the youngest 200-meter world champion at the Helsinki World Championships. She defended this title in 2007, beating her long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix took part in the Olympics in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo always finishing in the top three in all her events.
