Aisha Jamila Hinds, an American actress best famous for her performances on the television series The Shield and True Blood. Since her first appearance in 2003 she has displayed her ability to act in a variety of roles by performing outstandingly in TV shows such as 9-1-1 Detroit 1--8-7, and Under the Dome. She was first noticed for her part as Anna in 2005's film Assault on Precinct 13. It was, however, her performance as Fannie Lou (a feminist activist for women's rights) on the biographical All the Way film that made her famous as an actor. Hind was praised for her portrayal of Harriet Tubman, in WGN America's historical drama Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television has renewed the show for the third season. Recently Hind has wrapped filming for his Hollywood movie Godzilla: King of the Monsters due to release mid-2019.
